Welcome to the blog "Utah on Motorcycles". The trip officially kicks off Friday September 9th when we depart from our respective starting points; NoNo, Tom, Les and me (The Western Contingent) from here and Bob, Cathy, John and Sheila from Thunder Bay/Ottawa (the Eastern Contingent).
The Western Contingent will drive to Idaho Falls and tow bikes there. We'll ditch the truck and trailer and ride from there to Kanab, Utah in two days, where we will meet the Eastern Contingent. Here is a link to Google Maps with an approximation of the route. It is not the actual proposed route which would have been too much work to upload into one link but this will give you a small idea of where we hope to travel.

I will be posting our stories, memories and photos on this blog so if you are interested or bored, this will give you something to do.
We are all still in the hard-packing mode, getting our bikes ready and loading our meagre side cases. We are certainly learning the meaning of "packing lite".
